The cheapest supermarket wine has won a gold medal at a prestigious competition in France

The man received a gold medal at the prestigious French contest Gilbert et Gaillard with the cheapest wine from the supermarket. He simply crossed the label so that the bottle looked more presentable, changed the name of the wine to Le Château Colombier and wrote a beautiful story.

Apparently, the tasters’ skills are greatly overrated. Also, why are people shelling out so much money for “quality” wines after such a spectacular failure?
Cheap wine also has its qualities. The only thing you may worry about when buying wine is whether it is made from grapes or just spirits and essences.
