Israel’s largest supermarket chain, Shufersal, has introduced restrictions on the purchase of essential products due to rush demand. These are water, eggs, bread and milk. Israelis rushed to empty store shelves after authorities warned to stock up on a 72-hour supply of water and food in their bomb shelters.
People rushed to the shops en masse and bought the groceries. Yet Israel is not under blockade. Unlike the Gaza Strip, where food is already a problem and the lack of water makes the area unlivable.
In addition, a number of countries began to deliver aid to Israel, but not to the people of Palestine.
