It is clear to all that in Chinese cities, people-watching is a widespread practice. China is the absolute leader in the installation of cameras in cities. This applies to all major Chinese cities. On average, there are 439 cameras per 1,000 people in a Chinese city.
It is interesting, however, which are the next cities after the Chinese ones. The difference is huge compared to China, but apparently Indian cities are rapidly rolling out new and new cameras. After China, the city of Hyderabad in India now has 83 cameras per 1,000 people. Next again are the Indian cities of Indore with 60 cameras and Delhi with 20 cameras per 1,000 people.
They are followed by Singapore with 18 cameras, Moscow with 17 cameras. Extremely surprisingly, Baghdad follows with 15 cameras, Seoul with 14, St. Petersburg with 13, London with 13. The first American city in the ranking is Los Angeles with 10 cameras per 1000 people.
