Facebook, already under the name Meta, has paid the most fines for the last 3 years. The total fines are almost $1 billion ($990,000,000).
The largest fine, however, is for Amazon, with the amount being $774 million.
The fine is for a violation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union.
The other company to top the charts for the biggest fines is Google.
Back in time there were also fines, but in view of the scale of the companies now such high fines did not exist in the past.
However, for these mega companies, these high fines are not a problem and their pay does not affect their fortunes.
