sniper-man

The most dangerous profession – 20% of all US presidents have been hit by bullets.
Many sitting presidents have been assassinated around the world. Most murders occurred in the 80s and 90s of the XX Century. During this period, we have almost one murder each year, mainly from African and Middle Eastern countries.
After the year 2000, assassinations of sitting presidents decreased significantly, but still took place, such as that of President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Laurent-Désiré Kabila, in the same year, and that of King of Nepal – Birendra, in 2009 assassination of the President of Guinea-Bissau – João Bernardo Vieira.
Next comes the 2011 NATO assassination of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, the 2021 president of Chad. In the same year, the president of Haiti – Jovenel Moïse – was killed.
The hanging of Saddam Hussein in 2006 was included in this group.
But nowhere in the world are there as many assassinations of presidents, as well as assassination attempts, as in the United States.
In just 200 years of history, the United States has had 4 assassinated presidents and 5 failed assassination attempts.
Here are the data for the US:
Presidents shot:
1835 Andrew Jackson – VII in a row
1912 Theodore Roosevelt – XXVI in a row
1975 Gerald Ford – XXXVIII – consecutive
1981 Ronald Reagan – XL- in a row
2024 (July 13) Donald Trump – XLV – consecutive
Assassinated Presidents:
1865 Abraham Lincoln – XVI in a row
1881 James Garfield – XX in a row
1901 William McKinley – XXV in a row
1963 John Kennedy (JFK) – XXXV in a row
From the statistics, we should conclude that every 5th president of the United States is shot. In reality, being the President of the United States is one of the riskiest professions with a 20% risk to life.
