Extraordinary parliamentary elections were held in Bulgaria. The country has been in crisis since 2021 after the governments failed to complete their mandate of 4 years. The highly fragmented parliaments continue and a total of 9 parties enter the new 51 parliament.
The winning party Gerb-SDS takes 26.4% of the 38% of those who have the right to vote.
The most interesting thing is that in these elections vote buying is literally massive among the parties that were in a coalition a year ago. Large resources were used to buy entire sections, paying between 300 and 1000 BGN (EUR 150 – EUR 500) for one vote.
It was vote buying that raised voter turnout compared to the previous election just 4 months ago. It seems that the Bulgarians are not interested in their fate and the fate of their country.
From here on, the decision whether Bulgaria will become a target for Russian missiles, a refugee camp for the Middle East or use its territory for war against Russia will be up to Washington.
Traditionally, when you ask a Bulgarian citizen why he doesn’t vote, he answers “nothing depends on me”.
And one more curious moment. Quite recently, a printing house for money (lev, euro and dollars) was broken, which had been in operation for 15 years. The counterfeit money is of very good quality. And since she worked for 15 years, she was clearly under the protection of the authorities. And now with this fake money, the parties bought the elections. Double screwing the population.
