More recently, following Israel’s attacks on Lebanese pagers and telephones, experimenters conducted a test of detonating a telephone remotely without adding explosives to the device.
It turns out that each person is a ticking time bomb that can be detonated remotely by both the Secret Service and hackers. From here on, this apparently not very sophisticated and expensive technology can be used for all kinds of sabotage and assassination. What would happen if someone decided to blow up a person’s phone on a bus, waiting at a crowded bus stop, or on a plane?
And what happens if saboteurs attack larger electronic devices, such as an electric car? Not only would they kill the occupants of the vehicle, but they would cause mass murder, something quite similar to the car bombs used in a number of attacks around the world without the need for a kamikaze person. Israel has opened pandora’s box and it looks like there will be no turning back!
Note: We are not talking about simply igniting the battery or simply starting the car. Although there, too, the ignition happens very quickly and escaping from a self-igniting car has a small chance of salvation (actually 3-4 seconds), if one feels it in time. Here we are talking about a quick and sudden explosion without prior indications.
